We are pleased to announce the opening of the online exhibition "An Engineer's Odyssey", about the life and work of Geert Hofstede. You will find it as of 12 February 2021, one year after his death, on www.exhibition.geerthofstede.com.
The exhibition follows his life right from his birth in 1928 until his 90th birthday. See the video in this blog for more context.
Interviews by Iekje Smit: "An Engineer's Odyssey"
Iekje Smit and Marcel Siegmund created the documentary film "An Engineer's Odyssey". The exhibition holds a wealth of interview material from this period, around 2014. A witty and relaxed Geert memorizes a variety of events.
The birth of the dimensions
For scholars, his elaborate account of how he came to create his six dimensions of societal culture is particularly worthwhile.
